InDesign 14.0.3 is now live and publicly available!
InDesign 18.104.22.1683 update has gone live today and is available
publicly. Please update your installations with the latest builds that
should be showing up in your Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app.

The 14.0.3 update fixes the problem introduced by the previous InDesign update, 14.0.2, where bringing up IDImposer’s “Registration” or “About” dialog caused Mac InDesign to become ‘unresponsive’. See the previous post .
This problem with 14.0.2 update affected only InDesign for the Mac, but 14.0.3 fixes many other InDesign issues, on both Mac and Windows. So my recommendation is for all users of InDesign 2019 (14.0) to update to 14.0.3.
And as long as you’re updating your InDesign, why not update your IDImposer, too?

InDesign 14.0.3 fixes this problem (and many others). 30 August 2019.
There is an acknowledged bug in the latest (as of May 2019) update to Mac InDesign CC, 14.0.2. You are most likely to run into it if you are trying to register your License Key, using the Register button in IDImposer. The registration dialog will display, but then both IDImposer and InDesign will lock up when you attempt to dismiss the Registration dialog, requiring you kill InDesign (Command-Option-Esc).
This bug affects many scripts, not just IDImposer, and there is, unfortunately, nothing that I can do to IDImposer to work around the problem.
The only known solution is to back out of the 14.0.2 update, and run 14.0.1, or earlier release of InDesign CC, or InDesign CS6. Hopefully a newer release of InDesign will also include a fix for the problem.

Please download the current release of IDImposer – 2017.05.28, at this writing. Otherwise, if you update to InDesign CC 2017.1, InDesign will crash after running IDImposer. Even if you just show the IDImposer dialog and immediately hit Cancel.
That is, to avoid the bug, either use IDImposer11 2017.05.28 (or newer), or don’t install the InDesign CC 2017.1 Update.
The dot release of InDesign, CC 2017.1 (a.k.a. 22.214.171.124), has a UI bug that affects IDImposer and many other scripts. (InDesign CC 2017.0 and prior releases are fine). The behavior of the bug is that IDImposer runs to completion, but then InDesign 2017.1 crashes, and you have to restart InDesign in order to view the IDImposer output doc.
